Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Co-Chair

After the Black Lives Matter movement made every human on the planet really reckon with their actions in upholding systemic racism throughout 2020, the National Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics created a new Diversity & Inclusion subcommittee of which I was elected the Co-Chair. The leadership of the subcommittee is spectral in nature and spans 3 different schools. Together we have held talks pertaining to Microaggressions, and Anti-Racism as well as Allyship in Aerospace. In my position I have leveraged my network to have Dr. Alleyne (NASA), Gen Bolden (prev NASA Administrator), Will Pomerantz (Brooke Owens Fellowship Founder, VP Virgin Orbit Special Projects), Rob Meyerson (ASCEND Conference founder, prev Blue Origin President) and Gen. James (Deputy Director, JPL) to speak on these issues.
